I also played a game with the learners where they had to use the prepositions on the slide and a random item picked from a box to make sentences. e.g. the potato is UNDER Mr. Vermeulen's chair.

Here's some interesting pictures that could be very useful in the language classroom! In English FAL it can be used as a scene that learners need to describe as a class discussion to get those English juices flowing and the pictures are reaaaally busy so they can write a lot about it in a descriptive essay or paragraph....

Nelson Mandela (Grade 4 Social Sciences)

According to the CAPS document 5 hours should be spent on the life story of Nelson Mandela. The following resource is absolutely amazing!! 


There's information about his life and also some images and a video. But the best of it all is the interactive game! Its in a talk show format and Madiba's accent is quite funny! (They tried... lol!) It asks questions (easy questions) about Madiba. The learners can complete it at home or even at school in the computer lab. Maybe you can use it as a class exercise!
