Gedigte - Graad 4

In hierdie les moes leerders hul eie gedig skryf. Of dit nou suksesvol was of nie gaan ek nie deel nie! Kyk jy maar of jou Graad 4's kan dig en gee my tips, want ek het duidelik nog nie die kuns bemeester om leerders te leer om te skryf aan gedigte nie! Darem verstaan hul rym ;)

Ek het eerste die gedig "In Vaaldam woon `n draak" vir die leerders gewys en gelees. Hul het die rympatroon geidentifiseer en ook die ritme (dmv lettergrepe). Dit is een van die vereistes van CAPS in Graad 4 dat leerders hul eie gedigte / lied skryf en kan werk met rym en ritme. Sterkte.

Die tweede deel is `n gediggie wat ek begin skryf het vir die leerders / wat saam met die leerders geskryf kan word sodat hul dit verder kan vat. Ek dink hierdie prente sal lekkerder werk as inspirasie, kyk maar...

`n Lekker ysbreker aktiwiteit om met die leerders te doen (om die creative juices te laat vloei) is om RYMBAL te speel. Jy gee `n woord vir die leerders, jy gooi die bal vir iemand, hy / sy vang en gee `n woord wat rym met jou woord so gou as moontlik. Hy / sy gooi dan die bal vir enigiemand anders in die klas en daardie persoon moet dan weer rym! Siedaar, lekker rymwoorde vir almal.

Nelson Mandela (Grade 4 Social Sciences)

According to the CAPS document 5 hours should be spent on the life story of Nelson Mandela. The following resource is absolutely amazing!! 


There's information about his life and also some images and a video. But the best of it all is the interactive game! Its in a talk show format and Madiba's accent is quite funny! (They tried... lol!) It asks questions (easy questions) about Madiba. The learners can complete it at home or even at school in the computer lab. Maybe you can use it as a class exercise!

The South African War

Unfortunately the South African War (Anglo-Boer War) does not feature in the Intermediate & Senior Phase CAPS documents. It  is however now part of the Grade 10 History curriculum.

These presentations are aimed at a younger group. I am not sure how in depth it is taught in Grade 10, but I hope this can help!
